As the seafront of Rome, Lido di Ostia is a great place where one can truly enjoy a local life while having easy access to the historical sites in Rome. To me, the best thing about the town is its proximity to Ostia Antica archaeological site and the sea.

Ostia is ok.
Ostia is ok. The beaches are mostly private and you have to pay , they stop you to go in. There are couple areas pubic. It’s close to Fiumicino so it’s convenient to take a taxi…25euro. There is an area with cheap used books by the public beach, so that was my favorite place.

If you come from the downtown area to catch a flight the next day, you need to know it is really very far away. We first took a bus and sat on it for a long time. The bus didn't stop at the hotel, so we walked almost one hour with our suitcases. If you take a taxi from downtown it would cost you a fortune! This hotel is too far away from downtown.

The reviews I read before booking this were a lie.
The reviews I read before booking this were a lie. This property in no way was a 10. The towels were thin and needed to be replaced. No paper towels of dish towels. We ran out of toilet paper only one roll was provided. The sheets need to be replaced very faded, old and thin. The chairs around the table sunk in, not comfortable at all. Our car got broken into 15 mins after arrival. Met owner out front for keys went back to the car. The window had been smashed on car and everything was stolen! Our suitcases and passports. We lost everything but the clothes on our back!!!! Not a safe area!
The location of the apartment was super. The sea was within walking distance. Grocery stores and a market was close by. This is the cleanest apartment I have ever booked. The apartment was super well scented and everything necessary for life is there. Lucrezia and Alessandro are very helpful. They have even prepared the guide with the most important information (use of equipment, grocery stores, beaches, etc.). We were very happy with everything. If we come to Italy again, we will definitely be in this apartment.
I can’t fault this hotel in any way. The room was spacious, very comfortable and had all the required necessities. Bathroom was cleaned spotless every day. The bed was super comfy. A beautiful beach across the road. Shops, cafes, bars and restaurants all within walking distance from the hotel. There was a lovely fresh selection available every morning for breakfast. And the staff were so kind and so helpful. We couldn’t thank them enough for all they did for us.
Very comfortable huge apartment with 2 balconies and fully equipped kitchen. Great pizza place next door, beach 5 min walk train to Rome 5 min walk and in Rome Coloseo within 35 min.
Christian is an amazing host who made us feel welcome straight away. Christian was also excellent in all aspects of communication before and during our stay.
If we ever make it back to Rome, I would definitely stay here again.
Thank you Christian.
The apartment is very well located in Ostia. We had a rented car so we could go to very beautiful beach ~10km south of Ostia, but there are also beaches, very good restaurant and a good fruit / fish / meat covered market just 5 min away on foot. There trains to go to Roma, Ostia antica is amazing. Since we had a rented car we also visited Tivoli (Hadrian Villa and Vlla d'Este) absolutely fantastic.
Good location on the waterfront, though a bit far from everything (€35 for transfer from Fiumicino) but good for a relaxing break. Nice view of the sea from my room. Room was spacious and seemed recently renovated. Bath tub. Tourist port across the road with eating options. Stop for local bus nearby to get bus to the Lido Station for trains to Ostia Antica and Rome.
It's right in front of the pier, which is one of the few areas where you can actually see the sea. There are a bunch of nice restaurants and shops nearby. The staff at the reception and breakfast area were all very pleasant to talk to. Good choices at breakfast.
It's a little far from the train station but it's a few bus stops from Ostia Antica.
This hotel has a great location and the staff was fantastic. The breakfast is simple but tasty. Our balcony in our room had a great view of the Med. It was easy to get to food and gelato. Short walk to the train station as well. We made a visit to Ostia Antica which was a simple walk to the station and short trip to the site.
Completely remodeled apartment, a lot of space and was very beautiful! There is a washer and dryer, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, fully stocked kitchen supplies!
The terrace is nice and large, the bedrooms are very spacious! My entire family was absolutely amazed!
Around the corner is a bar, and the beach!
the hotel was very nice but the area around was somewhat depressed. the hotel was to far away from Centre Rome. we had to take a taxi each way which was 70 euro each way. we tried the train system but it was to confusing.
the staff was very helpful and friendly. the breakfast was very nice.
Location relative to the airport and price. Room was great. We checked in late and departed early so we didn't get a change to do breakfast or the beach. Breakfast looked great and the hotel is across the street from the beach.
The hotel was very clean and bright. Great location right at the beach and walking distance to restaurants. The hotel looks like it was newly renovated. 15 minute ride by taxi to FCO airport.
We finished our trip here. We were able to drive to Rome for the day and enjoy the beach later in the evening. Perfect. Restaurants were great, we ate at a popular area a few blocks away
Hotel right by the beach, friendly staff, lovely cocktails, good continental breakfast. The hotel looks a bit outdated, but that might be the look they are going for.
The Hotel is small, pretty and comfortable.
Located in the very center of Lido di Ostia, it offers access to transportation, restaurants, beach and shops.
